Best Movie Jewellery - Kate Hudson's Isadora!

Hatton by Design reviews the best diamond jewellery featured in movies!

It’s awards season - we’re already enjoyed the BAFTA’s and the Grammy’s and I’m looking forward to the Oscar’s on 28th February!

I always look forward to the red carpet at these events - I just LOVE seeing what everyone’s wearing and especially the jewellery on display!

This reminds me of a scene in the movie ‘How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days”. Incase you’re unfamiliar with this hilarious rom-com, advertising executive Ben (Matthew McConaughey) is pitching to work with diamonds! (consider my attention caught!) Competing against his rivals, he makes a bet to make a girl to fall in love with him in just ten days. Meanwhile, chosen girl Andie (Kate Hudson) is also on a mission ‘how to lose a guy in 10 days’ - it makes for a fun movie!

ANYWAY, before I get carried away and ruin the ending, the scene I’m reminded of is when Andie attends a party hosted by the diamond company and they allow everyone at the party to borrow some diamonds for the party! Can you imagine?! Where’s my invite?! The classic advertising line of the movie is:

Obviously Andie being stunning and wearing a yellow gown is the perfect candidate to wear the eighty-four carat, 84!!!! carat Isadora necklace valued at over $5 million. Legendary jewellery Harry Winston created the beautiful diamond wreath necklace for the film and it was so dazzling that Andie’s yellow gown was created to match.

Wouldn’t it be fabulous if this happened in real life?! Oh how I wish I could attend such an event!! However on second thoughts, I’m sure everyone would arrive early and there would be elbows involved trying to secure the most fabulous pieces - hmm. Maybe this idea remains for the big screen after all!

I look forward to sharing more of my favourite jewellery movie moments in the days to come!

Happy Friday!

Oh and incase you fancied seeing more...
