Once in a Blue Moon - Diamond sells for £32 MILLION

Hong Kong tycoon buys his 7 year old daughter the Blue Moon Diamond for a whopping £32 Million!

It's not everyday you meet a 7 year old girl who owns a diamond! Let alone a 7 year old girl who owns two diamonds! But when you're the daughter of Joseph Lau, by the looks of things, anything is possible!

Over the past two days, Mr Lau has spent and eye watering £50 MILLION on two diamonds for his daughter. He must have heard the saying that diamonds are a girls best friend! Lucky Miss Josephine Lau is certainly in good company!

His first purchase cost a cool £18 Million. A rare pink diamond weighing 16.08 carats and graded vivid fancy pink - a record breaking price for Christie's auction house.  It was the largest and most expensive 'fancy vivid' category diamond to ever go under the hammer.

Mr Lau has renamed both diamonds to 'The Sweet Josephine' and 'The Blue Moon of Josephine' in tribute to his daughter. One thing is certain, whomever tries to marry Josephine will have a tricky job finding a diamond to compete with these!!
